Fargesia Murielae Luca

Fargesia murielae ‘Luca’ which is also referred to as just ‘Luca’ and commonly called umbrella bamboo is a dwarf, evergreen, clumping bamboo variety.  It is a new non-invasive bamboo native to upland areas of China. They feature thin, colourful culms topped by glossy fountain foliage; hence its common name – Dwarf fountain bamboo.

Its slender woody canes emerge as green and turn yellow as they age. They grow to form a crowded, tight mass that suppresses weed growth in the growing site. At the top of each slender cane, narrow, overlapping, slightly waved, pointed leaves grow to create a dense cover.
