Acer Palmatum Shigure – Learn, Buy and Grow
Acer palmatum ‘Amagi Shigure’ is a rare unique and spectacular Japanese Maple variety in early spring it produces bright pink leaves with dark coloured veins running through them as the spring progresses these become more pronounced with the leaves becoming more red.
In summer the leaves darken and become more purple while the prominent black veins remain.
Slow-growing and upright in habit this fantastic small tree then presents Autumnal colour of vivid orange red and purple – again spectacular.
