Description
Carex oshimensis ‘Evergold’ or Variegated Japanese Sedge. A highly attractive and very alluring ornamental tufty grass native to New Zealand, forming clumps of low compact mounds to about 30cm tall of golden, arched, linear leaves with dark green margins. It is very effective as a standalone plant in a container or planted in and around other grasses. It keeps on looking good through the cold days of winter, followed by brown flower spikes on 15cm stems in late spring. In other words – a cracker of a plant!
